Brighton & Hove Muslim Forum was invited to attend the 10th Anniversary of the Muslim World League at the Muslim Holy City of Mecca, Saudia Arabia. The event which was titled “Challenges faced by Muslim Youth in the West,” was hosted by King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and his Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Fasial Bin Abdul Aziz Brighton & Hove Muslim Forum representatives were fortunate to meet with the Grand Mufti of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Shaikh. Sabri Ben Ameur, BHMF Vice Chairman who was one of the representatives attending said “The World Muslim League Forum this year attracted, diplomats and respected senior Muslim scholars from all over the world, it was not only inspirational, the forum concluded with practical solutions.
After the Forum meeting, representatives were invited by the retired Managing Director of the Al Masjid Al Nabawi, Shaik Salah Al- Hussain to the holy city Medina. Sheikh Salah presented BHMF 9 different translations of the Holy Quran some of which were in Chinese, German, Russain, Zulu, French and Turkish for the people of Brighton & Hove.
